This Transformation Coach is Helping Women Find Their Strength and Live Confidently Within Their Bodies

Meet Jordanna Nativ, NASM Certified Personal Trainer & Eating Psychology Coach at Team Strong Girls, where she strives to help women live a confident life.

They say motherhood is the most beautiful experience in a woman’s life, but what they don’t tell you is about the struggles it brings with it. Jordanna Nativ is a mother who suffered from this pain that turned her life upside down. After giving birth to her baby girl, she experienced major body issues and struggled to feel confident in her body. She tried different diets, up to the point where she was only surviving on tea and protein bars. Once on a walk with her mother and daughter, she almost passed out. That’s when she hit rock bottom and decided that it’s time for a change.

And things did change when she found Team Strong Girls. Her coach, Jenny, who is also the founder, helped her in her transformation. With customized nutrition and strength training, Jordanna felt alive again from inside out. It was Jenny who pushed her to go back to school and join them as a full-time coach to change the lives of other women like hers. And just like that, she went from being a corporate marketing executive to being a transformational coach.

Growing up in Toronto, Jordanna experienced the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. Her family went from traveling the world to selling their home due to bankruptcy. Despite everything, it was a happy time with her family filled with game nights, pizza parties, hikes, and movies. This taught her valuable lessons with a deep appreciation for financial stability, which she worked very hard to achieve. She had a stable career as a marketing executive for 15 years until she found her calling in helping women find their strength and live confidently within their bodies.

Talking about her role at Team Strong Girls, she says, “As a Coach, my mission is to help women find their strength, learn to eat confidently, and love their body. I love working with moms because that is truly the heart of a home. When a mom chooses to change, everyone benefits from this.” She has had the opportunity to sit on the advisory board for Strong Fitness Magazine, model for brands, and contribute to a book.

The last two years have been filled with challenges for Jordanna. From moving twice, having a miscarriage, and facing mental health challenges, she has been through a lot. But she chooses to fight, nevertheless. She is choosing to show up, to be vulnerable and strong at the same time. She finds her strength in being a mom and considers it a true gift to be able to shape another person to walk their journey in this world.

As someone who has worked in the corporate and fitness industry, Jordanna agrees that there is still so much sexism, pay inequality, and systemic discrimination. “Whether we are young, newly qualified, a parent/pregnant, returning from parental leave, come across soft-spoken or strong, we are judged for this without even having shared our views,” she says. She has herself experienced this at various points in her career, but always stands for pushing boundaries for women-led companies and women growing within their own careers if that is what they wish to do.

She believes in the power of compassion as it can help us to better communicate with each other, hear one another more clearly and work towards resolutions that work for everyone. Jordanna Nativ is an idealist and an empath at heart who wishes to help women live a confident life in a body they love. Leaving an inspiring message for her readers, she says, “We walk this world once in this body. We have the chance every day to do better, change our minds, take care of ourselves and make an impact. If you’re wondering about what you can do, who you can be, and what’s next for you, that’s your inner voice calling to you to do it. Explore the dreams you have. Make the impact you desire.
