Demetra Moore
Demetra Moore is from South Carolina. She graduated in 2001 from Francis Marion University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. In 2002 she relocated to Charlotte, NC where she lived for 20 years. During that time, she established an Executive Coaching firm and has been training for 14 years.
What were your initial years of growing up like? Tell us about your life before starting your corporate journey/venture/initiative.
I was always into business and wanted to be an entrepreneur. I spent a lot of time reading and developing myself. It seemed to challenge my world views and make things a lot easier for me.
Every industry that is now a large-scale, top-notch business once started as a small idea in the minds of entrepreneurs. What was that idea or motivation that made you start your business /initiative? What motivated you within to say YES, go for it!”
The idea was that I could help others experience more out of their lives. To help them understand the power of choice and how to use it for your benefit. That is still my driving motivation.
Tell us something about your initiative or current role. What is it about, and what impact are you trying to make?
I work to help others understand they have the power to change their lives. Most people give away the power, and get upset when others use it. But my goal is to help them understand how to direct the movie of their life.
Your journey and your vision are very inspiring, but are there any achievements or accomplishments you would like to mention?
I have authored three books and has been featured by multiple news outlets including Connected Woman Magazine, The Huffington Post, Black Enterprise, Wealth Palace, HYPEHair Magazine, Enterprising Women and Who’s on the Move to name a few.
Would you like to share with our young budding women entrepreneurs the change you would like to see in the world if given an opportunity?
I would like to see more women exercising the power to choose what’s best for them. Not shrinking away and hiding their talents.
Women are a growing force in the workplaces worldwide, standing shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts. There are cracks in glass ceilings everywhere, with many women breaking through to carve out a space right at the top of the pyramid. What are your thoughts about women leadership today?
I think women are great leaders. My only suggestion is to lead from a place of building and empowering your team and not from a place of intimidation. You want a team that is cohesive and ready to create something awesome

Be bold, be brave, make your mark and create the life you want.
