What were your initial years of growing up like? Tell us about your life before the venture/ corporate journey?

At the age of 18 years, I experienced the sudden murder of my father. This experience left me in total shock, denial and much anger. The whole experience had such a hold over my mental health. I literally dissociated from the world around me. This followed some self-destructive habits, such as binge drinking, to help me cope, which it never did. All my emotions, images and thoughts about my father overwhelmed my mind, and I was unable to deal with the experience. The trauma became so severe that I struggled to have an everyday life for many years. I finally had to accept his death to be able to move on in life.

Every industry that is now a large-scale, top-notch business once started as a small idea in the minds of entrepreneurs. What was that idea or motivation that made you start your business/initiative? What motivated you within to say “YES, go for it!”

Unfortunately, later in my life, I suffered from PTSD after a violent attack from a previous partner. I was beaten violently and had to have surgery to attach my wrist back into place. Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a severe anxiety disorder that can develop after exposure to a traumatic event. In my case, PTSD included re-experiencing the original attack trauma, flashbacks and nightmares, difficulty falling or staying asleep, anger, and hypervigilance. The PTSD continued for some time due to court cases and panic alarms being fitted in my home.

I was so broken as a person when suddenly I listened to a Hypnosis to help me sleep. After that, I started to feel better and better each passing day. Then I did the unthinkable; I changed careers to become a clinical hypnotherapist. I took back my life with the help of hypnosis, and now I have a passion for helping as many people as possible to transform their lives. Hypnotherapy saved my life in many ways.

Tell us something about your initiative or current role. What is it about, and what impact are you trying to make?

I have created a transformational program called “Resurrect” your life.

A six-week self-study transformational program that is designed to uncover all your beliefs that have been preventing you from living the life you deserved. This program will uncover your hidden beliefs with the use of MINDspiders TM and change your perception of your world.

This program will reprogram new beliefs into your subconscious mind with the use of hypnotherapy enabling you to change. You will be given weekly self-development worksheets and weekly hypnosis sessions to imbed changes.

Your journey and your vision are very inspiring, but are there any achievements or accomplishments you would like to mention?

My mission is to help transform millions of lives worldwide with my program and my book that is due to be published in 2023. To help people achieve a life worth living without any old limitations holding them back. To confidently move forward in life. Bringing them more personal and professional success than they thought possible. To help them overcome their self-imposed limitations and achieve their goals in life.

Would you like to share with our young budding women entrepreneurs the change you would like to see in the world if given an opportunity?

Psychologists believe that by the age of seven most of our patterns of behavior, our beliefs and our habits are formed. I would love for the world to teach mental health and mindset in schools starting from a young age. This will enable the future generation to overcome obstacles they encounter in life in a healthier way.

I would love to bring my MINDspiders technique into schools around the world and teach children the power of their subconscious mind.

Women are a growing force in the workplaces worldwide, standing shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts. There are cracks in glass ceilings everywhere, with many women breaking through to carve out a space right at the top of the pyramid. What are your thoughts about women’s leadership today?

It’s a wonderful time to be a woman in 2022. The world is being transformed with women leadership. Women are equally capable of earning and excelling in leadership roles, a legacy of imbalance in the workplace is slowly being corrected.

Women are now as well or more educated than men in the workforce, little can stand in the way of their rise to leadership positions. In the past they may have been seen as a stay-at-home wife or mother. I am truly glad this is now changing. We can be BOTH!

What would you want to say to our young women leaders/audience reading this?

Always aim high, work hard, and care deeply about what you believe in. And, when you stumble, keep faith. And, when you’re knocked down, get right back up and never listen to anyone who says you can’t or shouldn’t go on.” — Hillary Clinton
