What were your initial years of growing up like? Tell us about your life before the venture/ corporate journey?

I grew up the oldest of 4 in a super small farming community. I spent my life wanting to be a doctor until my mom died of cancer when I was 20. I have always been fascinated with healing, the mind and human potential.

Every industry that is now a large-scale, top-notch business once started as a small idea in the minds of entrepreneurs. What was that idea or motivation that made you start your business/initiative? What motivated you within to say “YES, go for it!”

I was spending all of my time studying holistic health and my life had profoundly changed since my new fitness, nutrition, and mediation journey that I felt compelled to share it and help others.

Tell us something about your initiative or current role. What is it about, and what impact are you trying to make?

I hope to empower others to re-discover their passions and purpose. I intend to empower leaders to be the change. The world is in dire need of healthy, self-aware, empathetic and visionary leaders.

Your journey and your vision are very inspiring, but are there any achievements or accomplishments you would like to mention?

I have held Best Life Coach in Omaha a few years in a row. The articles I’ve written have been published the last year or two. And then 17 certifications.

Would you like to share with our young budding women entrepreneurs the change you would like to see in the world if given an opportunity?

I’d like to see women find peace with being in the work force and being mothers. For us to come together and support one another. For women to be heard and validated in all areas.

Women are a growing force in the workplaces worldwide, standing shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts. There are cracks in glass ceilings everywhere, with many women breaking through to carve out a space right at the top of the pyramid. What are your thoughts about women’s leadership today?

Women to rightfully take their place as leaders in the world. Intuition, compassion, and the skills women naturally embody are needed. Lead like a girl and own it.

What would you want to say to our young women leaders/audience reading this?

Do not let anyone discourage you from being who you are. Do all you can to learn about yourself including values, beliefs, emotional processes and more. Then, use your unique skills and passions to solve the problems you see.
