What were your initial years of growing up like? Tell us about your life before starting your corporate journey/venture/initiative.

Born the third child of six, in St. Louis, Missouri, I had a natural inclination to take care of others. So naturally a career in the health field seemed to be the obvious path. Going about life as planned—I did well in school, and prepared for a college career majoring in pre-medicine. Well, in the fall of my sophomore year, things changed. I found out the “other side” of medicine that included residency, and being on-call. Call me naive, but I did not know the extent of the commitment that I had signed up for, until then. I knew right then and there, that being a physician was not going to be my path. You see, I had a deep desire to live life on my own terms (erroneously, I thought that being a physician would provide this sort of life). I immediately changed my major from pre-medicine to general psychology, with a minor in chemistry. I had a four-year scholarship, so I had to double down on my classes. Despite joining my esteemed sorority—Alpha Kappa Alpha, Incorporated, the last two years of college sped by. However, there is one pivotal point on campus that changed everything … .I was stopped on campus and asked by a Los Angeles production company if they could take my picture, for a commercial they were shooting. Call it fate (I’d like to think so), but I agreed to this opportunity, which took me down a path of movie stardom! What, you didn’t know I had a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame? I didn’t actually take acting that far (sigh). Post college I headed back to St. Louis, working at a temp agency until I found out how to make myself a star. That led to two independent films, a bad investment, coupled with the new skills of fashion/wardrobe design and executive producer! In the midst of this, I heard about nursing school, and decided to give it a try. I graduated from nursing school in a total of two years, and after gaining experience, I moved to Atlanta. Why Atlanta? I still had that dream of becoming a movie star … .once again that plan was thwarted when the economy collapsed, 8 months after I arrived in Atlanta. That brings me to my currently unfolding path. I realized that my life’s journey was directing me back towards my innate desire of wanting to live life on my own terms, while helping others. I became acutely aware that in order to do that, I must own a business! So, I set out on the path of entrepreneurship–learning, growing, and helping others along the way.

Tell us something about your initiative/business. What is it about and how is it helpful for people?

Throughout my journey of entrepreneurship, I kept coming back to an underlying pattern of thinking that resurfaces from time to time to time. It’s what I call, the “enough factor“. I discovered that I needed to delve deeper into the realm of being enough, because I am enough–not measured by anything outside of myself. Sometimes we need this reminder. I developed an initiative and acronym for E.N.O.U.G.H. (Exquisite, Notable, One of a Kind, Unmatched, Genius, Hero) and a private FB group to support this awareness.

While the global pandemic of COVID-19 is associated primarily with adversities, it has also brought about a true boom in startups, with successful entrepreneurship in many countries. The pandemic has impacted all of us in one way or another. Would you like to share your experience on a personal and professional level?

I was still working as a Registered Nurse during the pandemic. I had been working on my exit plan for a couple of years, but continued to get caught up in the hampster wheel of the comfort zone. In September of 2020, I had finally had enough and was finally ready to let it go in a BIG way. I completed my final nursing contract that month, and did not renew my RN License the following January. I burned the ship, and leapt forward, and am still forging ahead.

What has been the response of the users/consumers towards your venture?

Pretty early on, I realized that I needed to find out where my potential clients and peers were. So I began to join online communities that fit my niche. In those spaces, I began to network with like-minded souls, which served as much needed support. I have been honored to build a growing network of clients from organic growth on google and from referrals. I have also been able to build a budding speaking career as well.

How has your life changed because of your initiative/venture?

Yes, my life has changed because of my above-mentioned initiatives because I actually practice what I preach and share those results with my audience. This vulnerability allows me the opportunity to hold myself accountable, while at the same time experiencing the benefits of doing the soul work required to improve my life. So, my clients know that the results are real instead of manufactured or untrue.

Do you have anyone who is the biggest support system in your life? Please let us know.

My biggest support system is my husband and his family. He is a huge support for my initiatives and is always there to remind me of the greatness that lies within–no matter how things may appear. I remember last year, I invited friends and family to attend a birthday party–it had been such a long time since I had one. Though many people rsvp’d, it was my husband’s family that came through. I can really feel the love there!

Would you like to share with our young budding women entrepreneurs the change you would like to see in the world if given an opportunity? OR Share a motivational message for the audience/women who are reading this.

I’d like to share that we are such powerful beings. In fact, there is an entire universe on the inside of us that reflects the reality that we experience. If we can come into the awareness that “thoughts are things“, and that we can free up the energy that is on the inside of us, by opening and activating our chakras–we can literally live a life of bliss, through continuous awareness, positivity, and action steps!
