Nekita Okafor is an outgoing, diverse multi-tasking career woman, who is fulfilling her life’s divine purpose by encouraging and motivating others to own their life’s purpose and fulfillment through mentoring, coaching and Empowerment speaking. She is also a lawyer and entrepreneur who networks on purpose to support her vision of empowering women one household at a time.
What were your initial years of growing up like? Tell us about your life before starting your corporate journey/venture/initiative.
I grew up with parents that taught me the essence of hard work and education but also encouraged me to be my own person and express myself. However as I grew I found that this was not always encouraged and our culture had its limitations to the female gender in respect of communicating your beliefs especially if it was contrary to the popular one. I felt a pain when I couldn’t express what I felt was right and resolved to always stay true to myself. This is the basis of my legal background and more recently my goals to help women remove limiting beliefs from their foundations .
Tell us something about your organization. What is it about and how is it helpful for people?
EmpoweringallWomenOrg is a Non-profit set up to support women who lack confidence and are limited in their beliefs and can’t see their own potential. it supports women to dream and use their God given talents to impact the world and shine.
Was there any turning point in your life that changed your journey? If so, what was it? Please tell us the backstory behind it.
There was a customary law in my state that did not allow women to own land.. and I had a friend that her parents died and willed their land to her and her sisters but she was not allowed to take ownership.. This felt very unjust and I got together with some others with similar stories and we got a class action going which eventually got the law changed. I knew the power of women united .. I resolved to unite women as much as possible as the power was great when they came together.
While the global pandemic of COVID-19 is associated primarily with adversities, it has also brought about a true boom in startups, with successful entrepreneurship in many countries. The pandemic has impacted all of us in one way or another. Would you like to share your experience on a personal and professional level?
The Pandemic made me realize time is short and we all need to reach for those dreams and goals NOW! not tomorrow will make that impact now.
What has been the response of the consumers towards your venture?
I do what I do not for the recognition or awards but for the passion and impact. I have been recognised in my community for my efforts but still young in my goals so lots of work to be done still.
How has your life changed because of your venture?
My life has more meaning and I am more fulfilled. I feel I am walking on my God-ordained path and I’m making my mark and impacting my world.
Would you like to share with our young budding women entrepreneurs the change you would like to see in the world if given an opportunity?
Make your plan , break it down, look for role models or someone that is where you want to be, study them and follow in their footsteps, be consistent and intentional. you’ll get there .

Yes you can! Don’t give up on your dreams and aspirations no matter your journey or age.. keep that dream alive and that fire burning .. and you’ll realize it eventually.
