Robyn Harris

Robyn Harris, a Wellbeing Alchemist tells us that “Having known what it’s like to feel stressed, ill and overwhelmed, I’m passionate about holding a safe and nurturing space in which to intuitively and gently inspire others to reconnect with their sense of joy, purpose and love of Life. I feel it’s so important to understand how our thoughts and beliefs impact on our wellbeing, and how our bodies respond to these and to the world around us. Having this knowledge enables us to make choices that best support our wellbeing. I work from a holistic perspective, drawing extensively on the wisdom of the natural world in my work.

What were your initial years of growing up like? Tell us about your life before the venture/ corporate journey?

I grew up in Belfast during ‘The Troubles’.  I was fortunate not to see much of the violence but this gave me some understanding of the impact of trauma and division.  My best friends were animals and I loved being in Nature – the grounding for where I am today.

Every industry that is now a large-scale, top-notch business once started as a small idea in the minds of entrepreneurs. What was that idea or motivation that made you start your business/initiative? What motivated you within to say “YES, go for it!”

I think it’s where I’ve come from and all that I’ve experienced.  I was generally an unhappy child who felt lonely and without a voice.  This led me to becoming ill but I couldn’t find anything to help me feel better and to give me the sense of freedom and joy that I longed for.  So I set out to find this for myself.  I’ve always seen others who are where I was and I feel their pain, so I decided to share from what I’ve learnt in order to offer them the tools to create the life that best supports them and their wellbeing.

Tell us something about your initiative or current role. What is it about, and what impact are you trying to make?

My current role is about supporting others, particularly women, to fall in love with Who They Really Are – to be able to see the rich beauty and sovereignty of their True Nature and all the amazing gifts that they carry within in order for them to step into the fullness of this, both for themselves – so that they can experience the freedom, joy and wellbeing that is there for them – and also for all those around them – that they can truly shine their light to lift and inspire others.  I offer this for animals too as they are such wonderful, wise teachers who have so much to offer this.  Another aspect of my work is to support people in understanding more about the wisdom of their body, and also what dis-ease is actually all about, in order to take away fear and to replace it with empowerment.

Your journey and your vision are very inspiring, but are there any achievements or accomplishments you would like to mention?

I’ve been a part of 2 wonderful book collaborations:

 – ‘Connected: The 12 Ways of Wellbeing for a Holistically Healthy Life’

 – ‘Words of the Wise: Wisdom from Awakening Journeys’

both available through Amazon.

Also becoming a MetaConsciousness® practitioner, and trainer at the Introductory level, as having this done for me on my journey was a real game changer.  It means so much to me that I am now able to share this with others.

I have a YouTube channel – @equenergy – and a podcast too.

Would you like to share with our young budding women entrepreneurs the change you would like to see in the world if given an opportunity?

I would love to see true equality for all, and celebration of the wide variety of humanity.  Also for everyone to fully understand the true nature of dis-ease, why we get sick and how to best support ourselves to live happy and healthy lives – to be able to truly live, on all levels, with joy, freedom and love, for ourselves and those around us.

Women are a growing force in the workplaces worldwide, standing shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts. There are cracks in glass ceilings everywhere, with many women breaking through to carve out a space right at the top of the pyramid. What are your thoughts about women’s leadership today?

I would love to see women being leaders in all walks of life and being able to do this as themselves – in their true nature.  So often we can compromise our true nature when we want to ‘fit in’, to be accepted and to move forward, but I’d love to see people feeling free to be themselves and still being accepted and celebrated for what they bring.  I see so much trauma and hurt behind much of the leadership that we currently experience in the more prominent areas of our society so I would love to see this change and to have greater consciousness and compassion in our leadership – at all levels.  Also remembering that we’re all leaders!  It’s not just the politicians or the bosses of the big companies.  It’s the parents, teachers, carers, solopreneurs, and everyone in their day-to-day lives, who have the potential to be great leaders.

What would you want to say to our young women leaders/audience reading this?

Be true to who you really are.  And if this is challenging, find support to help you develop the confidence and assurance to speak with your own voice, walk your own path and trust your own inner wisdom.  You have a light and a vision that only you can bring.  Don’t compromise this for others.  Be respectful of other’s views and opinions but don’t let them force these upon you.  Trust that yours is every bit as valid and valuable.
