Tell us about your life before the venture/ leading up to your venture?

I started working while going to school back in my home country Venezuela, having the privilege of advancing steadily in my career. I emigrated to Canada and decided to dedicate my time exclusively to my family and with the passing of time I started working in a Social Media company I founded with one of my cousins where I was acquainted with several professionals in the health and wellness field. When we moved to the States I started pursuing my certification as a coach to be able to help others understand the importance of a wholesome lifestyle and that became more of a priority in 2014 when I received a Breast Cancer diagnostic. After undergoing treatment I started partnering up with other women to provide opportunities for the community to get education and coaching to maximize their health.

Tell us something about your organization. What is it about and how is it helpful for people?

TNL nutrition is a platform for moms looking for tools to support the growth of their families in a practical, budget friendly and sustainable way. It also offers resources to caregivers and patients undergoing or recuperating from cancer treatments. I put to the service of my community bilingual resources for stress management, healthy eating and a wellness oriented lifestyle.

In doable Health™ I have the opportunity to reach a broader client population, creating and delivering bilingual content with educational purpose as well as group and individual coaching (personalized and confidential) coaching.

What has been the response of the consumers towards your venture?

TNL Nutrition has worked in partnership with local restaurants in the Triangle area, it has also been included as part of programs as ActivaSer and Bitácora 4×4. I have had the chance to participate in diverse podcasts in English and Spanish and do cross promotion with recognized figures in the field of health and Wellness that tend to the LatinAmerican community and the Venezuelan Community.

How has your life changed because of your venture?

I found my purpose, I am able to lead by example so my kids, friends and family gain skills and feel comfortable investing in their mental, physical and spiritual health. My own health has been positively impacted as I feel accountable and motivated.

What are you working on right now?

I am pursuing a Certification as a Functional Nutritional Counselor with the Functional Nutrition Alliance
