Elen Sentier

Elen Sentier grew up in a family who had practiced the old British shaman and witchy ways for hundreds of years. Her 1st degree was in Dance, Drama and Art. She wanted to work for the Ministry of Defence, first in Personnel Policy, then in finance for jet fighter aircraft, and finally as a senior software engineer designing and building relational databases and office automation systems. After being medically retired from her software design job, she became a transpersonal psychotherapist. She now teaches her skills, is a visionary speaker, and a life and leadership coach.

What were your initial years of growing up like? Tell us about your life before the venture/ corporate journey?

After being medically retired from my software designed job with the Ministry of Defence, I trained as a transpersonal psychotherapist. I now teach my skills, am a visionary speaker, and a life and leadership coach.

Every industry that is now a large-scale, top-notch business once started as a small idea in the minds of entrepreneurs. What was that idea or motivation that made you start your business/initiative? What motivated you within to say “YES, go for it!”

We all find ourselves up Shit Creek in both our business and personal lives … so we all need to know how to get out again. I want to give my experience and skills to all those who want them.

Tell us something about your initiative or current role. What is it about, and what impact are you trying to make?

I’m an enabler. I want to help women stand in their own power when they feel defeated by the current systems.

Your journey and your vision are very inspiring, but are there any achievements or accomplishments you would like to mention?

I inspire women to speak up, speak out, be themselves and make a difference.

Would you like to share with our young budding women entrepreneurs the change you would like to see in the world if given an opportunity?

We all need to work together, collaborate instead of compete. We need to support and encourage each other. Women are changemakers – let’s do it, Sisters!

Women are a growing force in the workplaces worldwide, standing shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts. There are cracks in glass ceilings everywhere, with many women breaking through to carve out a space right at the top of the pyramid. What are your thoughts about women’s leadership today?

Women lead well because we are unselfish, sharing and caring. Good leaders are:

Authentic, Connected, Always Ask – never jump to conclusions; Always Listen – full attention to the speaker; Always Hear – don’t interpret what you say to what they want to hear!

Always response-able for themselves. We can do this, let’s lead!

What would you want to say to our young women leaders/audience reading this?

Believe in yourself. You are unique, you have vision, you are inspiring. Be your Real Self.
