What were your initial years of growing up like? Tell us about your life before starting your corporate journey/venture/initiative.

My business was started because of my own family history. Too many of my family members were lost because of cardiovascular issues like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, and heart disease. Initially I looked for ways to improve my own health and then returned to school and learned how to help others to reduce prescription drugs. It would be my greatest wish to reverse all types of heart disease and I strive every day to help people find ways to make small shifts in their health to create huge results.

Tell us something about your initiative/business. What is it about and how is it helpful for people?

We help people take responsibility for their health. This is done through education: Teaching others how to prepare mouth watering meals without harmful fats or sugar. Discovering ways to add daily movement into their lifestyle, and helping to alleviate stress and create a positive mindset.

While the global pandemic of COVID-19 is associated primarily with adversities, it has also brought about a true boom in startups, with successful entrepreneurship in many countries. The pandemic has impacted all of us in one way or another. Would you like to share your experience on a personal and professional level?

The impact of COVID was dramatic for my business. Much of what I did was in doctor’s offices and with the shutdown of medical practices, I needed to discover a way to continue to help others. That is why I went back to school to improve my ability and learn additional ways to help people. It also gave me the opportunity to talk to fellow business owners in a different way and started a community called Unleash Your Free Spirit which helps individuals learn how to dream again. After 3 years we have had 40 guests who have shared their personal stories and ways they have overcome.

What has been the response of the users/consumers towards your venture?

The response of connections has been mostly one of gratitude. To be able to find a simple way to make huge changes in their life without the stress of making big shifts has been what most of my clients have enjoyed the most. It’s a matter of not giving up who you are, but being authentic about who you are becoming.

How has your life changed because of your initiative/venture?

My life has changed so much for the better. I have so many strong connections with people who have had amazing challenges and creative business ventures. Many of these people have become great friends.

Do you have anyone who is the biggest support system in your life? Please let us know.

The biggest support system in my life is my family and next my business community. They believe in my mission and help me achieve it everyday

Would you like to share with our young budding women entrepreneurs the change you would like to see in the world if given an opportunity? OR Share a motivational message for the audience/women who are reading this.

When I was a young entrepreneur, my mentors gave me some advice that I took and now regret. I was told to fake it until you make it. I always acted like I was really smart and super successful. This created a sense of bravado that built up a wall to create true relationships. I felt that I was two people. One a successful business woman and the other a loving mother. This also created a lot of stress, changing the hats that I wore constantly. Then one day I decided that the best person that I could be is just myself. I believe that transparency is the best way to do business and to gain friendships. If I don’t know something I try to find an answer from someone. If I don’t want to do something, I tell them so. If I don’t agree with people’s ethics, I remove myself from the situation. I believe that I am good enough. I love and accept myself as I am and work toward being better every day. This is a message I wish to share. You are good enough. Love and accept yourself as you are and never stop learning.
