Sandra van Wanrooij

Sandra van Wanrooij is 51 years old and the proud mother of Beau & Renee. She was born and raised in Amsterdam.  She tells us that, “Humor runs like a common thread through my life. In 2017 I rediscovered my energy, strength and inner child during a seminar by Joseph McClendon III. This led, among other things, to taking my life changing NLP practitioner and NLP new code certification. I also have more than 15 years of work experience in the HRM and recruitment field. Life is a rollercoaster sometimes and I’ve had my share. But I came out so much stronger. That’s why I decided to turn this into something positive. What has helped me to have such good energy and to train and master my emotions and mindset? I didn’t know I could train my brain and control my thoughts. How can I help other women with this? I have brought my humor, energy, work experience, and NLP certification together in valuable programs. In these programs I explain, among other things, how your brain works and where your procrastination comes from. Why don’t you always keep your agreements with yourself. We take you through the origins of obstructive thoughts and the power of communication and the words you say to yourself. We also learn how to train your brain for positive thoughts and get rid of your procrastination and insecurity. From being a couch potato and overthinker, I am now addicted to burpees and an energetic mindset. I’m ready for a nice second chapter of my life!”

What were your initial years of growing up like? Tell us about your life before starting your corporate journey/venture/initiative.

Before I become an entrepreneur. I was married and had 2 daughters. I was taking care of them most of the time and had a job of 20 hours per week. I did some administrative work. My husband was taking care of most of the things at home.

Every industry that is now a large-scale, top-notch business once started as a small idea in the minds of entrepreneurs. What was that idea or motivation that made you start your business /initiative? What motivated you within to say YES, go for it!”

First of all, due to debts, I first had no choice. I lost everything, my marriage, my job, my car… my children wanted to live with their father.. I was living with my mother, only had a suitcase and could only cry with the lawyer (and not talk)  and feeling soooooo lonely! I knew something had to change. But when I discovered the power of NLP, and I was able to manage my mindset, emotions and energy during my divorce… I knew…  YES… this was for a reason… I want to become an example for my daughters AND I want to help other women… going to this period of time!

Tell us something about your initiative or current role. What is it about, and what impact are you trying to make?

Since I am a NLP certified coach and now I know that you can train your brain, like training your muscles in the gym AND you can manage your emotions I want to spread this magnificent insight. If I can only change one life… They understand the working of your brain and know how to train it. Understanding your procrastination and your limited belief, you can really live a more beautiful life. You can take responsibility for your own communication and behavior and you have more peace and can chase all your dreams!

Your journey and your vision are very inspiring, but are there any achievements or accomplishments you would like to mention?

They are the most simple things in life. After 23 years of marriage and  2 daughters, doing everything with the four of us. Then comes a time that you have to do it alone… first time traveling alone, going out to eat alone… But in the end these moments , you can be alone and you love yourself and you are your best company… You really dare live and dare to be alone but not feeling alone… You realize…. You first need to love yourself to be able to love someone else AND you really get to know yourself… who you are and what your needs are.
