Lisa Hammett

Lisa Hammett is a Certified Positive Intelligence PQ Coach, a Transformational Speaker, and the best-selling author of From Burnout to Best Life.  She is also a mental fitness and wellness expert.  She also helps leaders create work/life balance to increase productivity, profitability, and wellbeing. 

Tell us about your life before the venture/ leading up to your venture?

I spent 26 years in the corporate retail sector, which led to burnout.  The high stress, toxic environment took a toll on my physical and emotional health and my marriage.  I was depressed, overweight, and physically and emotionally exhausted.  In a moment of desperation, I left my long-term career, at a high salary, without an exit strategy, which eventually resulted in bankruptcy.  I share this to say that everything I experienced could have been prevented, had I done a better job managing my stress and self-care.  I still would have left the industry, but I would have been more thoughtful about my departure, and planned a way to replace my income, preventing bankruptcy.

Despite the distress of filing bankruptcy, leaving my toxic work environment was the best thing I could have done for my physical and emotional health.  I went through a transformative wellness journey and lost 65 pounds.  I became a wellness coach for one of the largest, global, health and wellness companies.  For 11 years I positively impacted the lives of thousands of individuals by empowering them to make lasting lifestyle changes.

During the pandemic I completed an intensive, global coaching program with High Performing Coach (HPC), and launched Lisa Hammett Success Coaching, incorporating 1 to 1, transformational coaching.

Tell us something about your organization. What is it about and how is it helpful for people?

Lisa Hammett Success Coaching incorporates 1 to 1 and group coaching.  I am also a transformational speaker, educating and encouraging audiences on stress management, burnout prevention, mental fitness, work/life balance, and goal achievement.

In September, 2022, I published, From Burnout to Best Life, which integrates my journey of overcoming burnout to a happy, healthy, fulfilled life.  FBTBL is an holistic approach to health and wellbeing, including sections on mindset, goal setting, creating sustainable, healthy habits, nutrition, exercise, sleep, and hydration.  

In September of 2023, I received my Positive Intelligence mental fitness certification.  As a Certified Positive Intelligence PQ Coach, I help individuals and teams create awareness of negative thought patterns that impact their performance, communication, relationships, and health and wellbeing.  I educate them on mental fitness fundamentals and techniques which help them respond to life’s challenges with a positive versus a negative mindset.  The result is peace of mind, clear-headed focus, enhanced communication and relationships, and greater health and wellbeing.

What has been the response of the consumers towards your venture?

My speaking achievements include a TEDx Talk, and numerous in person and virtual presentations to global audiences of all sizes.

My book, From Burnout to Best Life, reached bestseller status in 16 categories globally.

I have helped thousands of individuals make sustainable, positive changes in their life, including: weight loss, creating a success mindset for goal achievement, work/life balance, career transition, stress management, burnout prevention, enhanced mental clarity, and improved relationships.

How has your life changed because of your venture?

I am living my best life.  My journey, although difficult at times, has led me to where I am today.  I wouldn’t change a thing.

What are you working on right now?

I am working on the outline for my next book, and am focused on continuing to scale my business.

Give a motivational message for the audience/women who are reading this.

It is possible to create your best life, despite your circumstances.  You have, within your power, the ability to generate happiness, wealth, and abundance.  It starts with the belief that it’s possible.  You may not have all the answers, yet.  However, if your belief is strong enough, and you are ready and committed to take consistent action to make it happen, it will.
