Zarifa Teixeira

Zarifa Teixeira is a Psychologist, Integrative Nutrition Therapist, and Author.

She tells us that, “I am a 47 year old woman with the curiosity of a child. I have an unwavering passion for health and nutrition and people. My journey is a testament to my insatiable curiosity and determination to understand myself and evolve. Having resided in 8 countries and explored over 85 others, I believe I bring a unique global perspective to my interactions. My zest for life is matched by my desire to foster well being in myself and others. I am dedicated, intense and passionate about everything I do.

What were your initial years of growing up like? Tell us about your life before starting your corporate journey/venture/initiative.

To be honest, my early years were not easy. Growing up in Brazil with an extremely busy mother and an abusive father has pushed me to find better options for my life. I left Brazil when I was 16, had a son at the age of 21 and finished my degree. By 30 I started to redefine my life and priorities.

Every industry that is now a large-scale, top-notch business once started as a small idea in the minds of entrepreneurs. What was that idea or motivation that made you start your business /initiative? What motivated you within to say YES, go for it!”

With my Memoir my motivation was to share my journey inspiring others through my experiences . Simultaneously starting a business focused on women’s well being exemplifies my dedication to making a meaningful impact. By offering support, resources and services tailored to women’s needs my intention is to facilitate growth and positive change.

Tell us something about your initiative or current role. What is it about, and what impact are you trying to make?

As an Integrative Nutrition Therapist I focus on my clients wellbeing by harmonizing science and holistic approaches. My guidance has empowered individuals to cultivate a balanced and healthier relationship with food, mind and body.

Your journey and your vision are very inspiring, but are there any achievements or accomplishments you would like to mention?

I believe my biggest achievement is to have raised my son, a man who is strong, kind , intelligent and overall a perpetual seeker of progress. I also praise myself for being able to buy my dream house in Italy and manifest a dream of living in this beautiful country with my soul mate.

Would you like to share with our young budding women entrepreneurs the change you would like to see in the world if given an opportunity?

The change I aspire to witness is a world where young women have abundant access to information and support as they navigate their journey to adulthood. By providing them with comprehensive education, guidance and mentoring we empower them to make informed decisions, pursue their passions and overcome challenges. Fostering a generation of confident, resilient and empowered women who shape a brighter future for themselves and society.

Women are a growing force in the workplaces worldwide, standing shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts. There are cracks in glass ceilings everywhere, with many women breaking through to carve out a space right at the top of the pyramid. What are your thoughts about women leadership today?

Women’s leadership is a powerful force driving innovation and progress across industries. However the ” glass ceiling” reminds us about the discrimination, biases and unequal opportunities women still face that may hinder their ascent. I believe that we need to challenge the stereotypes, encourage open dialogues and embrace diversity.

What would you want to say to our young women leaders/audience reading this?

Embrace your potential. Believe in your abilities and always strive for authenticity.
