She tells us that, “I specialize in talent, leadership, and organizational development to maximize workplace productivity and improve employee satisfaction. I work with companies and organizations to make their people a priority by creating a healthy quality of life and work-life balance. My mission is to bridge the gap between leaders and their teams by utilizing intuitive coaching and evidence-based consulting. Through my research, statistics support that when we put people over profit, as a team we increase productivity and profitability. In addition to that, I am an instructional designer and course facilitator working with leaders in industries such as health care, social services, financial services, and food services.”

What were your initial years of growing up like? Tell us about your life before starting your corporate journey/venture/initiative.

I grew up in a family filled with entrepreneurs and business owners. I spent summers and school breaks learning some of my family member’s businesses and marketing strategies. Before starting on my entrepreneurial journey, I had intentions of working in the corporate sector but that only lasted about 2 years before I began my own entrepreneurial journey.

Every industry that is now a large-scale, top-notch business once started as a small idea in the minds of entrepreneurs. What was that idea or motivation that made you start your business /initiative? What motivated you within to say YES, go for it!”

Believe it or not, I started my business because I wanted to provide a healthy workplace for others. I knew I wouldn’t be able to do it immediately but that was the goal and motivation behind it. I already knew I had the knowledge and skills to get it done, I just needed to do it.

Tell us something about your initiative or current role. What is it about, and what impact are you trying to make?

Currently, I am an I/O Psychology Practitioner specializing in instructional design and training facilitation. I’ve recently created a leadership development curriculum that over 400 healthcare professionals have taken. Would you like to share with our young budding women entrepreneurs the change you would like to see in the world if given an opportunity?

The change that I would like to see in the world is capable individuals living out their life purpose despite obstacles and challenges; with the support of others as we all strive to become our highest selves.

Women are a growing force in the workplaces worldwide, standing shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts. There are cracks in glass ceilings everywhere, with many women breaking through to carve out a space right at the top of the pyramid. What are your thoughts about women leadership today?

Women have made great strides and progress to be in leadership. Although it can still be improved, I am grateful for the pioneers, the women taking risks and being change agents. We’ve heard so often that women can be too emotional to lead, yet studies show that emotional intelligence is typically what is missing.

What would you want to say to our young women leaders/audience reading this?

Keep being the change that you want to see in the world. That is usually your purpose or attached to your purpose. When you focus on your purpose, and walk your path, everything else will fall in place. That’s alignment.
