What were your initial years of growing up like? Tell us about your life before starting your corporate journey/venture/initiative.
Growing up without the emotional intelligence to express and understand my emotions has held me back for many years. This is why I am so passionate about providing the emotional intelligence skill set to support women to be empowered to create a life they can get excited about.
Every industry that is now a large-scale, top-notch business once started as a small idea in the minds of entrepreneurs. What was that idea or motivation that made you start your business /initiative? What motivated you within to say YES, go for it!”
I now give the emotional intelligence skill set to my clients that I so wished I had been given earlier.
Tell us something about your initiative or current role. What is it about, and what impact are you trying to make?
As a coach I love to provide the support, encouragement, understanding, compassion and skill set of emotional intelligence knowledge to allow my clients to make informed, heartfelt decisions to move their life forward in a positive and powerful way that is right for them.
Your journey and your vision are very inspiring, but are there any achievements or accomplishments you would like to mention?
I have done a Tedx talk on “Emotional Intelligence determines Destiny” and co-authored a book “Unlock Your Feminessence Code”
Would you like to share with our young budding women entrepreneurs the change you would like to see in the world if given an opportunity?
I would like to see all children given the emotional intelligence tools from an earlier age in all schools. The ability to identify, express, understand and process their emotions along with learning to set healthy boundaries is the cornerstone of all good relationships and life experiences.
Women are a growing force in the workplaces worldwide, standing shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts. There are cracks in glass ceilings everywhere, with many women breaking through to carve out a space right at the top of the pyramid. What are your thoughts about women leadership today?
First women need to fully believe that they are rightfully entitled to take these places of power after years of conditioning that tells them they are not as important or entitled. Women will never be able to reach the same highs in business until parenting is seen as a family problem not a woman’s problem. That is why equality is paramount. Women bring a unique feminine way of looking at the world that is softer, more community based and relationship oriented that is both fairer and kinder on humanity.
What would you want to say to our young women leaders/audience reading this?
You are unique, one of a kind and that is what makes you awesome, memorable and gifted. If we were all the same one of us would be obsolete. Embrace yourself individually, it’s your superpower. The world needs the one who thinks outside the box and challenges social norms. It’s how positive change happens.
