What were your initial years of growing up like? Tell us about your life before starting your corporate journey/venture/initiative.

Growing up in southeastern Wisconsin, right on the shores of Lake Michigan, meant I was constantly surrounded by the beauty of nature.   My family included my parents, an older sister, and a younger brother. From a very young age, the importance of family and strong relational connections were instilled in me, becoming the cornerstone of my upbringing and something that continuously brought me immense joy.

In addition to my family, strong friendships played a crucial role during my formative years. The bonds I formed with friends were not just casual connections but deep, meaningful relationships that shaped my experiences and personal growth. These friendships provided a sense of belonging and mutual support, which was invaluable as I navigated the ups and downs of life as many of them are still my friends today.  It has been one of my most precious gifts in life to have had these friendships over 30 years

High school was a pivotal time in my life, as it’s where I met my husband. We were high school sweethearts, got married at the age of 19, and started our family when we were 20. We have two wonderful sons, now aged 25 and 20, who have been a central part of my life and journey.

Balancing motherhood with my education was a significant challenge but an incredibly rewarding one. As I raised our eldest son, I pursued my degree as a physical therapist assistant, which set the stage for the next chapter of my professional life. I dedicated 15 years to my career as a physical therapist assistant before making a significant career shift. In 2017, I launched my coaching business, transitioning into a new professional venture that has been both challenging and fulfilling. The strength of my family and friendships has always been the foundation enabling me to take these steps confidently.

Every industry that is now a large-scale, top-notch business once started as a small idea in the minds of entrepreneurs. What was that idea or motivation that made you start your business /initiative? What motivated you within to say YES, go for it!”

The inspiration to start my business emerged from a deeply personal place of dissatisfaction and a quest for meaningful change. While working in physical therapy, I grew increasingly frustrated with the industry’s shift towards a corporate, profit-driven environment, often at the expense of what was best for the patients.

During the same period, I was undergoing my own journey of health and wellness transformation, struggling with anxiety and depression after my youngest son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. This challenging time led me to pursue my first coaching certification as a holistic health coach.

Upon graduating, while attending a course designed to help kickstart my business, I was profoundly impacted by a guest speaker who spoke about mindset and was also an energy healer. This encounter ignited a spark within me, guiding me towards embracing my intuitive gifts and expanding into the healing arts. It was this blend of personal experience and newfound knowledge that motivated me to say, “YES, go for it!” and start my own business dedicated to genuine, holistic healing.

Would you like to share with our young budding women entrepreneurs the change you would like to see in the world if given an opportunity?

Absolutely, I’d love to share my vision with young budding women entrepreneurs.

The change I would like to see in the world is women empowering other women. I’m deeply passionate about women’s empowerment, but it’s important to note that this isn’t synonymous with feminism in a way that excludes men. On the contrary, I believe in the empowerment of all—men and women alike. When everyone is happy, healthy, and thriving, we can create conscious and harmonious relationships.

When women are empowered, it transforms our relationships across the board. It leads to a healthier dynamic where there is no room for jealousy or competition, whether in the workplace or in life. We can all win together.

I envision a world where we let go of outdated belief systems and embrace the idea that unity is the way forward for societal growth. Empowerment is essential for all of humanity to create meaningful and lasting change. When we support and uplift each other, we pave the way for a more inclusive and prosperous future.

Women are a growing force in the workplaces worldwide, standing shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts. There are cracks in glass ceilings everywhere, with many women breaking through to carve out a space right at the top of the pyramid. What are your thoughts about women leadership today?

I believe that women in leadership positions represent a welcome and necessary change for our society. For decades, we have been living in a society largely run by a patriarchal system. It’s time to create a truly equitable environment where leadership opportunities are based on qualifications and merit, rather than gender.

Women bring unique perspectives and skills to leadership roles, and having gender-diverse leadership can lead to more balanced and inclusive decision-making processes. It’s encouraging to see cracks in the glass ceilings everywhere, with many women breaking through to reach the top. This progress is vital for achieving a more just and equitable society.

Ultimately, the goal should be to foster an environment where both women and men can lead side-by-side, contributing their best qualities and expertise for the betterment of all.

What’s the most important thing you have learned in your personal life and professional journey? What is your personal motto in life?

The most important lessons I’ve learned in my personal life and professional journey is the sheer power of living a life that sets my soul on fire. This realization struck me deeply last year when I lost one of my best friends. That heartbreaking experience challenged me to rethink the way I live and the way I run my business.

Determined to transform this pain into purpose, I spent six transformative months reflecting completely off social media, envisioning what it means to truly live my best life. I’ve come to embrace the truth that life is fleeting, and I’ve committed myself to loving fearlessly and unconditionally, seizing opportunities, creating unforgettable experiences, and empowering other women to do the same.

My personal motto for life is: “I wish to live a life that causes my soul to dance inside my body.”

With your grit and determination, you are making a considerable impact, breaking through, and serving as role models for many budding entrepreneurs. What would you want to say to our young women leaders/audience reading this?

To all the young women leaders and budding entrepreneurs out there, I want to share an important message: This entrepreneurial journey is not an easy one. It requires you to find your own voice amidst a sea of many. It’s crucial to remember that there is no such thing as failure—only opportunities to reevaluate, learn, grow, and keep moving forward on this journey.

You will encounter many “experts” who will tell you how you “should” run your business. While advice can be valuable, it’s essential to tune into your inner knowing and run your business in a way that aligns with your values and doesn’t deplete you.

Stay true to yourself, trust your instincts, and remember that every challenge is an opportunity for growth. Your grit and determination will not only help you break through but also serve as an inspiration to others. Keep pushing forward, and know that you have the power to make a considerable impact.
