What strategies do you employ to maintain a healthy work-life balance while running your own business?

Making time for my spirituality by meditating and connecting. Physical movement, yoga, the gym. Heart connection, listening to my heart and what it wants and needs. mindset in motion, and time to be alone, time to be with my inner sanctum. ( the people closest to me who cheer me on).

When faced with unexpected detours on your business path, how do you pivot with grace and resilience, showing fellow women entrepreneurs the way forward?

I stop, pause and check in with myself for a moment. Some days I might take baby steps and some days I climb the mountain. It is important that you have good connections with people around you in your network. The road of an entrepreneur can be hard and can also be very rewarding. Remember we can do hard things, we can lean into fear and dance with it and create our own beat to move too. Believe in you, you are one of a kind. I tell myself this every day and along with it, I have got this today.

How do you measure the success of your business beyond financial metrics, such as customer satisfaction or community engagement?

For me personally is knowing that my customer is in a better space then when I first met them and that they can and have applied the skills, love and connection to their life in a way that works for them. I love watching people grow and be whoever they want to be in life, sometimes we just need a cheerleader and that’s me.

Can you share a memorable moment where you witnessed significant growth or transformation in your business, illustrating the impact of your services/products?

A memorable moment for me is a client who never spoke to anybody. This young lady would only speak through me. I remember the first time she offered to buy me coffee and cake ( only simple, however powerful). My client asked the lady serving her for the goods and made polite conversation with her. For me this was mind blowing. This in turn helped me shape the coach and speaker I wanted to be, because I knew the journey we had been on as coach and client.

What role do you believe mentorship plays in the success of small businesses, and how have mentors influenced your own entrepreneurial journey?

I advocate mentoring, I am a mentor and I also have mentors that I speak to and work with. I think it’s great to have a mentor who can ground you, support your development and celebrate your successes with

What’s your work all about, and how does it make a difference in the world?

My work as the childhood warrior is to share my lived experience through consultancy, coaching and speaking. My mission is to support other survivors and support their journey to live their best version of themselves. Go beyond the trauma.
