What were your initial years of growing up like? Tell us about your life before starting your corporate journey/venture/initiative.

I’m a Midwestern girl (United States) with down south flavor. I attended college in the great city of New Orleans, LA then moved to Georgia for graduate school. I’ve always had a great love for relationships and modern dating trends. I’ve written books on love and relationships and have always been the “go to friend” for meeting new people. I made my matchmaking career official when I began working at the nations largest matchmaking agency here in the United States. However, I eventually started my own matchmaking agency in 2020 in order to better represent minorities in the industry.

Every industry that is now a large-scale, top-notch business once started as a small idea in the minds of entrepreneurs. What was that idea or motivation that made you start your business /initiative? What motivated you within to say YES, go for it!”

My primary motivation for becoming a professional matchmaker was due to continual rising increase in relationship failure. Divorce rates in the United States are skyrocketing. The dating scene in general has dramatically changed in recent decades. With the invention of dating apps, the dating world has become increasingly challenging. Therefore, I was inspired to become a matchmaker to help singles find genuine and true love. In addition, while I work with clients from all different ethnic backgrounds, I recognized the deficit with minorities that exist in the matchmaking industry. Therefore, I wanted to provide a fair space for them in the matchmaking world. Again, I represent people from all walks of life. However, I also think the industry needs to be more diverse than what it currently is.

Tell us something about your initiative or current role. What is it about, and what impact are you trying to make?

My current role in the matchmaking industry is to provide equal and fair services for all individuals. The impact I plan on making, involves providing opportunities, for everyone in the dating world, no matter the color of their skin, a fair chance to find love in the matchmaking industry.

Your journey and your vision are very inspiring, but are there any achievements or accomplishments you would like to mention?

I am a multi-published author of four books, including one children’s book. The titles of the books are Lipstick Faith: A Collection of Inspirational Writings and Life Lessons, You Deserve the World, Rainbows and Strawberries: 100 Devotions for the Brighter Side of Life, and Let’s Go Outside Mommy. I am the founder and CEO of Love Crush Agency. I am also the founder of an online magazine named Dating for the Soul. In addition, I am a contributing author, for both Wikihow and datingadvice.com. Lastly, I am a professional matchmaker, of course, and a certified life/dating coach.

Women are a growing force in the workplaces worldwide, standing shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts. There are cracks in glass ceilings everywhere, with many women breaking through to carve out a space right at the top of the pyramid. What are your thoughts about women leadership today?

Women are taking charge more in today’s modern times than they ever have before. Women are fearless, inspirational, and brave. Today’s women are CEOs, founders, owners, and trailblazing their way through entrepreneurship. The future looks mighty bright for females. I’m excited about it!

What would you want to say to our young women leaders/audience reading this?

The moment you have a dream, pursue it. The moment you discover your purpose in life, share it. Don’t allow another moment to pass, without pressing forward with everything you believe in. It doesn’t matter if your ducks aren’t all lined up yet. Nobody starts off with everything set up perfectly. You are a work in progress. All that matters is that you get started. That’s all it takes
