What were your initial years of growing up like? Tell us about your life before starting your corporate journey/venture/initiative.

Growing up, I wasn’t fortunate enough to have basic necessities such as water, heating, or even a toilet at home. Our upbringing was very basic and limited, which also made me a target of bullying during my school years. To improve my situation, I started looking for ways to earn my own money and afford basic necessities.

Although my upbringing wasn’t easy, it shaped my character and personality, teaching me the values of hard work and determination. My true journey into the corporate and business world began when I moved to the UK from Latvia, with no knowledge, education, or English language skills. I focused on gaining knowledge, experience, and learning English. Once I was able to speak the language well, I pursued education and training to prepare myself for better opportunities and higher positions.

Every industry that is now a large-scale, top-notch business once started as a small idea in the minds of entrepreneurs. What was that idea or motivation that made you start your business /initiative? What motivated you within to say YES, go for it!”

My children- that’s the truth!

As a parent, I strive to provide my children with the opportunities and life I didn’t have. I believe that anything is possible with self-belief and the support of a loving family or friends, and I want to imbue this belief in my children.

In our family, we have a motto of helping others and taking care of the world. This is what inspired me to create MYBEAUTIGLOWS and FlenziSocial. Through both businesses, I aim to empower and motivate others. With MYBEAUTIGLOWS, I help individuals boost their confidence and self-esteem, while with FlenziSocial, I assist others in realising their business dreams and growing their ideas into successful ventures, and enable them to grow their existing business.

By helping others, I hope to make a positive impact on the world and inspire others to do the same.

Tell us something about your initiative or current role. What is it about, and what impact are you trying to make?

As the founder of MYBEAUTIGLOWS and FlenziSocial, my current role involves empowering individuals and businesses to achieve their full potential. With MYBEAUTIGLOWS, I provide beauty and self-confidence boosting products to help individuals feel and look their best. Meanwhile, with FlenziSocial, I assist businesses in taking their ideas to the next level by providing virtual business management services.

My initiative is about making a positive impact on people’s lives by providing them with the tools and resources they need to succeed. Through my businesses, I aim to motivate and empower individuals to pursue their dreams and realize their full potential. By helping others, I hope to make a positive impact on the world and inspire others to do the same.

Your journey and your vision are very inspiring, but are there any achievements or accomplishments you would like to mention?

Yes, I was so excited when Vogue Magazine reached out to me and asked to be featured in the magazine. I couldn’t ever imagine myself being in the magazine- but I was and I feel like shouting about it.

Would you like to share with our young budding women entrepreneurs the change you would like to see in the world if given an opportunity?

As a female entrepreneur, I would like to see a world where women are given equal opportunities to pursue their dreams and succeed in their chosen fields. I believe that every woman deserves a chance to fulfill her potential, regardless of her background or circumstances.

I would like to see a world where women are not limited by societal norms and expectations, but are encouraged to think outside the box and take risks. I hope to inspire young women entrepreneurs to break down barriers and pursue their passions with confidence and determination.

In addition, I would like to see a world where entrepreneurship is more accessible and inclusive for all. I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to pursue their dreams and create a better future for themselves and their communities.

Women are a growing force in the workplaces worldwide, standing shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts. There are cracks in glass ceilings everywhere, with many women breaking through to carve out a space right at the top of the pyramid. What are your thoughts about women leadership today?

I  believe that women have always been leaders, but it is only in recent times that their contributions have been recognised and appreciated. Women have been breaking through the glass ceiling and carving out spaces at the top of the pyramid, but there is still much work to be done to ensure that women are given equal opportunities and recognition in leadership positions.

I think that women bring a unique perspective to leadership roles, which can be very valuable in today’s complex and ever-changing world. Women tend to be more collaborative, empathetic, and inclusive in their leadership styles, which can help to create more diverse and effective teams.

However, there are still many challenges that women face in the workplace, including unconscious bias, gender stereotypes, and the lack of support for work-life balance. It is important that we continue to work towards creating more inclusive and equitable workplaces where women can thrive and reach their full potential as leaders.

What would you want to say to our young women leaders/audience reading this?

To all the young women leaders and aspiring leaders out there, I would like to say: believe in yourself, stay true to your values, and never give up on your dreams.

The journey to leadership can be challenging, but it is also incredibly rewarding. Surround yourself with supportive people who believe in you and your vision, and never be afraid to ask for help or advice along the way.

Remember that leadership is not just about titles or positions of power, but about using your skills, knowledge, and influence to make a positive impact in the world. Find your passion and purpose, and use your voice to advocate for the causes that matter to you.

Finally, always be open to learning and growing, and be willing to take risks and embrace failure as part of the learning process. With hard work, perseverance, and a strong sense of purpose, you can achieve great things and make a difference in the world.
