Shante Epps-Copeland

Shante Epps-Copeland is a life, financial and credit education coach, who owns a consulting company.

Before you became the business titan you are today, enlighten us about the thrilling adventures of your pre-business life.

I was a Stay at home wife and mother of 4 amazing children for over 25 yrs. While raising them, I worked in the public school system then later at a friend’s tax office while doing counseling work in my community and at my local church.  I enjoyed it so much I studied and honed my craft in the areas of life coaching and finance and credit repair. I fell in love with both as I repaired my own life and money issues, so I decided to start a company where I taught others to do the same.

Could you elaborate on the nature of your initiative/ business/current role, highlighting its purpose and the ways it benefits people?

I am currently a certified Life, credit and business coach. As of today I have helped thousands of people fix their life issues, repaired their credit taking their scores from the low 400s to over 800 by teaching credit education.  After helping them get their lives and credit/money issues fixed, I also helped them with starting to invest and or start businesses to leave a legacy for their families.

What has been the response of the users/consumers towards your venture?

It has been increasingly getting better with every success my business and clients have. When I speak at the various events, I get more and more exposure for what I can do for my clients.  When I watch them reach their goals it fills me with pride. My real estate workshops made my clients 6.5 million dollars in 2023, our best year ever. I have certificates in tax preparation, life coaching , credit repair/education, financing and budgeting.

Having a strong support system is essential for your well-being. We would love to know who your biggest supporter is. Share with us and let’s celebrate the amazing people in our lives who make a positive impact.

My biggest support system is my husband Jerry of 35 years and my 4 adult children who no matter what I want to do in life and my business, they are there with me every step of the way. I also belong to a few business women’s groups where we meet and brainstorm over the everyday challenges of being women, mothers and business women.

As a young woman entrepreneur, what changes do you hope to see in the world and what opportunities are you seeking?

In the finance sector, I have seen people not taking me seriously, even if and when I am correct in my processes. I sometimes get the “Little lady” treatment when they think that the men in the room have the correct answer. I often have to just prove what I know by just showing them another way to think and that even a girl can teach them something.*smile

Women now stand shoulder-to-shoulder with men in the workplace, breaking through glass ceilings to reach the top. What are your thoughts on women’s leadership today?

I think women are all capable, smart and can change the world in every industry in the world as long as we put in the work, stay the course and give it our all.
