What were your initial years of growing up like? Tell us about your life before starting your corporate journey/venture/initiative.
Wow.. I am the last of six children for my mom
Every industry that is now a large-scale, top-notch business once started as a small idea in the minds of entrepreneurs. What was that idea or motivation that made you start your business /initiative? What motivated you within to say YES, go for it!”
What gave me the push to start my entrepreneurial journey was a question that was posed to me by a friend. For several years, she went through depression on and off and each time I would reach out to her and encourage her in her darkest time. And one day she said, “why don’t you become a life coach? You have what it takes to become a life coach. It was that question that sparked my interest in coaching and after I researched and took a strengths profile assessment, I came to the realization that Life Coaching was indeed my calling.
Tell us something about your initiative or current role. What is it about, and what impact are you trying to make?
Now I make it my mission to amplify and empower other women to take the step to identify the patterns of insecurity so they can release themselves from the bondage, rediscover their purpose and power so they can live with more ease, flow and confidence.
Your journey and your vision are very inspiring, but are there any achievements or accomplishments you would like to mention?
Would you like to share with our young budding women entrepreneurs the change you would like to see in the world if given an opportunity?
I would like to see all young budding women entrepreneurs step out of their comfort zones, take charge of their lives, and invest in their personal growth. I would also like to see these women release self-judgment and learn to forgive themselves easily.
Women are a growing force in the workplaces worldwide, standing shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts. There are cracks in glass ceilings everywhere, with many women breaking through to carve out a space right at the top of the pyramid. What are your thoughts about women leadership today?
I believe that we are indeed making strides, and it is great to see all of these powerhouse women breaking that glass ceiling and taking their place at the table. And even creating their own tables that their male counterparts are taking notice of. We all have our roles to play in society, and although men are the head of the household, women have shown that they are very capable of leading organizations.
What would you want to say to our young women leaders/audience reading this?
I would say to seek to discover your purpose and allow yourself the chance to make your gift create room for you in places that you may never have thought possible. Know that you are enough as you are and that you are precious and divine. Never allow the emotion of fear to stop you from pursuing your dreams. Feel the fear, embrace it, and allow it to teach you what it will, but never allow it to dim your light and make you live in the shadows of someone else’s dream.
